Features in Drupal

Features is part of the answer to one of Drupal’s biggest headaches :
what to do with all that loose site building and customization that happens on every project. Features is part of the answer to making stronger, better install profiles and targeted distributions of Drupal.
And features is part of the answer to making Drupal more task oriented and less daunting to our users.

  • Fuse Interactive: Relating Nodes with Views
Just today we were struggling with a Views concept that was leaving a couple of us scratching our head -- how do we get a list of nodes that share a taxonomy term with another node? At first I thought this would be easy, just throw in a relationship and we'd be done! Unfortunately this was only partly true, the final solution was a little more complicat […]

Whether resolving the issues at the meeting or putting people in touch with other experts in t […]
  • Drupalpress, Drupal in the Health Sciences Library at UVA: Unpublish nodes intuitively with Rules and Views
Create a rule set and add an argument to receive from your view There are numerous ways to clean up old posts. Using Rules and Views together via rules + views integration there’s a great way […]

You need to add code to increase PHP memory limit in the htaccess file, set up the initial framework for your CSS file, or add your Made-By logo code to the footer of a website. The list goes on and on. Sometimes you find yourself whispering the shamp […]

  • Lullabot: What's New in Date and Calendar for Drupal 7
There have been lots and lots of changes and enhancements to Date and Calendar for Drupal 7, so it's high time to outline and explain them. It's been a long road, but there are lots of great improvements and new features in these modules. We did a lot of thinking about user experience (UX) by asking "What would Google (Calendar) Do?", and […]
  • NodeOne: Sublime Text 2 and Codesniffer (with Drupal) on Mac OsX Lion.
You should work with coding standards in mind, it is a very good thing when you share you things with other developers. And there tools out there to help you with the standards, for me that is the Drupal Coding Standards. Sublime Text 2 (ST) is a small litlle text editor, that I think is perfect when you do not need a big IDE like Netbeans (which is really g […]
